Municipal Hospital and Central Hospital
Triemli hospital is a municipal enterprise and is a part of the Department of Environment and Health of the town of Zürich. Being a central hospital, we have contracts with neighbouring hospitals in the cantons of Glarus, Grisons, Schwyz, Uri, Zug, Schaffhausen and Zürich. These hospitals forward patients to us.

We offer a wide range of high-quality medical treatment to the general public round the clock taking advantage of most modern diagnostics and therapy. Our field of operation comprises 11 clinics with various specialised sections and 5 institutes.

Interdisciplinary Competence Centres
In certain medical areas Triemli offers highly specialised interdisciplinary treatment. We are especially renowned as a medical centre of competence with nationwide prestige in the following fields:
- the accident and emergency unit and the intensive care unit Our accident and emergency unit is the second largest in the canton of Zurich.
- the heart centre (cardiology, heart surgery, interventional radiology and vascular surgery)
- visceral surgery and gastroenterology
- oncology with surgery, medicinal oncology, radio-oncology and pathology
- rheumatology along with traumatology, orthopaedics and neurosurgery
